Basic Questions Addressed:
Why should the Church resist nationalism? What are some of the fundamental principles (biblical and theological) underlying the Christian opposition to nationalism? How do we go about opposing/confronting nationalism in our churches? How does the unity of Christ’s body relate to the challenge of nationalism in our churches?
Saturday p.m. session on Ecclesiology:
Facilitator: Chris Smith (Indianapolis)
Basic Questions Addressed:
Does the way in which we as Christ’s followers gather and organize ourselves have any bearing on our opposition to nationalism (or lack thereof)? What does it mean to understand the Church as a “contrast society”? How do our churches proceed toward becoming a “contrast society?”
